10 year reunion.

Saturday night was my 10 year reunion. that is so crazy to me. I can't believe that is has been 10 years. and I can't believe I'm that old. it was fun to get together with old friends and catch up. I wish we would have had a better turn out though I was hoping to see all of my old friends that I hadn't seen in a while. Regardless I still had a good time. It's always so fun to see old friends and catch up.

Ryan and his insane racing.

So the last few months Ryan has been a biking/swimming/running fool. He is training for an IRONMAN. for those of you who don't know what that is, it's the most insane triathlon out there it includes a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 bike ride and a 26.2 run. all in a row. CRAZY!!! But I like to live my success through Ryan, so I'll pretend it's me doing it. (I'm watching the kids during all that training, so I figure that counts for something)
So last week Ryan biked a race called Lotaja. it goes from Logan to Jackson Wyoming. it's a total of 206 miles. it was pretty crazy. the most he'd biked before that was 25 miles. so he was pretty tired to say the least. We were all so proud of him. his dad was so good to him. he drove out and was his support, he brought him food and water and just cheered him on during the ride.
It was so sweet when Ryan finished he called me on the phone and was pretty emotional and as he was chocking back tears he told me he wished the kids and I could have been there for the finish. We'll have to make it to his next one. it's so exciting to watch someone finish such an enduring race, I think it does make everyone emotional to see someone push themselves to their absolute limit.
we're pretty proud of Ryan and all of his hard work.

on Saturday Ryan did a triathlon that was right by our house in Day Break. it was pretty fun to watch and cheer him on. Davis was so excited to see all of the bikers and loved to clap for them. I was so sad Ryan was coming so fast past us in the bike that I didn't even recognize him. I sat and waited until all the bikers passed and was getting so worried that something had happened, when his brother came up and found me and told me he finished the bike a long time ago.
it was so fun for him he got to do the race with his brother and dad.
we were a little disappointed, they were unable to do the swim in the lake because I guess a lot of people were getting (round worm?) gross. It's really rare and usually only in very dirty areas but apparently since Day Break decided not to put a bathroom at their lake (dumbest decision ever) all the kids decided to go number 2 right in the lake.
Other than the swim situation it was a really fun and well put together race. hopefully the winter will kill all the nasty diseases and Day break with learn their lesson that Kid places without bathrooms are probably not a good idea.
we were able to see Ryan finish the race which was really fun and exciting. the kids love to cheer for him. You can probably see on Bailee's face that she was a little bored, that was when we were waiting for Ryan to come on the bike and he had already passed.

Happy 7th Birthday Bailee (on the 17th)

My little girl turned 7 last week. So crazy. I can't believe how big she is getting. We are so lucky to have this little sweetheart in our family. She definitely keeps us on our toes. On Wednesday we went to dinner and shopping with Grandma sally and the girls, and on Thursday we had all the family over for cake and ice cream and to open presents.
Here are a few Bailee fun facts
-it's no secret that she LOVES to be the little mother to any baby around. and since Davis is the baby that is most often around he gets the most of the mothering. she loves to bathe, dress, feed and even change his diaper. she's actually pretty helpful.
- Bailee and Tyson have such a cute and sweet relationship. They play so well together. they love to ride bikes, play restaurant, or even plan pretend parties for me to attend.
- she is becoming such a good reader. She has been reading Dr. Seuss to Tyson and does a pretty good job at getting all of the words right.
- She is way too observant. I can't get away with anything. last month she almost discovered who the tooth fairy was. She happened to find a tooth in my jewelry box and was positive it was hers. I tried to tell her that it wasn't but she wouldn't buy that(she knew what her tooth looked like), so I finally had to tell her that I thought that tooth was a special one and I wrote the tooth fairy and bought it back from her. It was a close one. but I think I bought some more time.
-Bailee is the life of the party. always making us laugh, and is always excited about something.
We are so glad we have her. she is such an important part of our family. We love you!!!!

Scary times.

I have never been into politics really or to be honest really know what political party I belong to, but lately I have been really getting into listening to what is going on in our country. I can't believe what scary times we live in. It seems like almost everyone in a political position is so dishonest and corrupt. It seems so scary that our rights as Americans could very easily be taken away from us.
I think this whole health care issue is so scary, and not really because of the type health care that we will get (although that is also scary) but because the government will have that much more control over what we can and can't do. It's scary to me to think they can tell us what kind of cars we can drive or even dictate what kind of news we will hear. it seems like they are just trying to slowly take over what they can a little bit at a time. It just reminds me of how satan works. just slowly and sneaky, it seems so harmless at first.
I feel like both Republican's and Democrats deserve rights as Americans. Even if sometimes it's just the right to disagree. maybe I don't agree with hunting or necessarily want to own a gun, but I do think everyone should have the right to make that decision for themselves and their families.
I guess I just feel like my eyes have been opened these last couple of weeks, and I realize how important it is to get involved with what is going on. it's scary to think so many of the blessings we have as Americans could possibly be taken away

Funny Bailee or should I say Elizabeth

So Bailee's middle name is Elizabeth. Yesterday I noticed on her school work she wrote Elizabeth for her name. I asked her why. "oh because I told everyone at school that my real name is Elizabeth"
Then at the park today we saw a little boy that is in her class and I hear him yell to his friends "look it's Elizabeth!!!! "

she's too funny.
