Bailee you genius

So this week has been another amazingly exciting one for us, filled with trips to the park followed by nap time, then dinner and bed. the kids get so excited when they get to see Ryan at night now. he is gone so long in the day that they really start to miss him. Tyson is so funny he has been really into sword fighting lately. he only likes to use that soft plastic one because it's not to loud when it hits, I guess the other ones hurt his ears. it was sad Ryan accidentally racked him in the chin with his hard sward, and Tyson could only get even with his little wimpy sword.

So lately Bailee has been really into making shopping lists, it funny she'll ask me what we need and then I'll help her sound out the word while she writes it down. well I was so proud of her, she was in her room having quiet time and, she came out with her little grocery list and said "mom I think we need some popcorn" and handed me the list. I couldn't believe she had spelled it on her own. she obviously doesn't take after her mom (I had to ask Ryan how to spell genius just to title this page) I think she may have seen it spelled on one of her kitchen toys, but I like to think she did it on her own. she is so excited to start preschool out here. she won't start until the 17th which is on her birthday, she's pretty excited to get to go on her birthday, everyday she comes up with ideas of birthday treats we can take for school.
Tyson will actually be starting preschool with her, they will be in the same class, but I think they split them up into groups. I hope he does ok. I think we will try it out and if it's too much for him I'll take him out. he's so excited we just got him a new spider man back pack. he loved it he walked all around target with it on his back, and kept asking me and Ryan if he was big now. it was cute.
I have to say I feel so complimented from my last blog. I think I should whine about my weight more often. I promise I wasn't compliment fishing, I was just venting about people and their comments they like to make. but thank you for the nice input back.
I want to try and get the kids on tape doing their little dance number they have been doing lately so I can post it for you. they are so cute, they go and find new dress-up's and dance their little hearts out.
well I guess that's all for now. I'll try to get their dancing soon. we love and miss you all. love Ryan, Katie, Bailee, and Tyson.

Seriously!!!

OK, so no kidding, 5 minutes after we posted the other blogs of the crazy ways our kids sleep, we went down stairs to check on them and this is what we found. Bailee was just about falling out of her bed dead asleep. Luckily, she has this little basket filled with books and toys and she had her little unicorn to rest her head on. It's a good thing we check on them before we go to bed.

7 Years Strong!!

well we had quiet the eventful week this week (at least for us) Ryan started school. he has such a busy schedule this year, we're hoping we'll still get to see him. He's working more consistently at his job now, and his classes are all night classes. so he leaves at 9:00 every morning and gets home at about 8:30 every night.
Me and the kids keep busy by going to the park and lake, and by me scrap booking while they play house and color.
Ryan and I had our 7th anniversary on Thursday, I can't believe it's been 7 years. it has gone by so fast, and I must say I am so glad to see how far we've come and how much we've grown together. so anyways, we got a baby sitter and went out to dinner, it was great.

so anyways here's a picture to show the progress of my pregnancy, I' m now 28 weeks. okay, so I'm just going to rant about my weight gain once and then I'll leave it alone. I was at Target and the lady who worked there says " you look like your about ready to pop , you must be due like any day? (no lady, I've got a good 3 months to go, but thanks. ) F.Y.I. it is not okay to comment on a pregnant womans size!!!! I can say that I am huge, but you can't. you can NOT say you are looking huge, you can say your belly is looking cute, that is okay! !! and NEVER assume someone is further along than they are. so yes I look like I'm 9 and1/2 months pregnant but don't worry I'm not. okay so I will to try not to make any more pregnancy rants in my blog but that's a hard goal to keep. we went to Coeur d'Alene again this weekend, it is so fun there, I love it. I wish you could all come visit us in the summer, there are so many cool places to go and visit, and there all within a 20 minute drive. the fall is really pretty to, there are so many trees and the leaves are so pretty. the winter is cool as well and the spring (hint hint) come and see us any time.
the kids have such a blast at the beach. they love to play in the sand and make castles.
here's Tyson and daddy showing there strong muscles. Tyson has so much fun playing with Ryan in the lake, he loves him to throw him up in the air. he has turned into such a little fish this summer. he loves the water.

I wanted to tell you one more funny thing that happened this week. (well funny if your not the mom) so it was about 6:00 at night (which is when I'm right out of patience) and Ryan was still at school. so anyways I gave the kids dinner and then started to straighten up the house, ( I hear them in the kitchen just laughing there heads off, in one of their crazy hyper moods) so I go into the kitchen and find soup EVERYWHERE on their heads, all over their clothes, all over the table, and all over the floor. so I lost it and got mad at them. you would have thought I was the funniest person in the world (to the kids) I obviously have no authority with them. Bailee just looks at Tyson and says "Tyson listen to how funny mom is, she's snapping at us."
if Ryan just raises his voice at them they're in tears. it was so depressing. they usually listen a little better than that, but I think this is going to make for a long semester in school. we'll see.

well I have to say I miss being the family blogger, it's kind-of therapeutic, so I am going to try and up-date a little more often (more than once every 6 months.) I love you all and hope all is well. love Katie

More Sleeping Kids!!!

Well as promised I am posting some more pictures of the crazy way our kids sleep, and the amount of drool that Tyson produces. This is a only a small-medium amount. A couple of times he has practically soaked the pillow. I love the one of Bailee facing the wrong way with her feet on the pillow. If you look close her fingers are practically up her nose, so I of course had to zoom in on that one. I'm diggin' that shiny purple pillow too, I might just have to sneak that up to my room soon.

Sad news in blogging world, this is going to be my final production. I have noticed that I am the only dude that writes on these family blogs, so it is going to end. Hopefully Katie can keep up on it. That's the only reason I was doing it, as she would always put if off until if was too late to post the pictures. So as Michael Scott would say...Good Night, and Good Luck. Seacrest OUT!! (My words)

Ty's New Way to Sleep

So I just wanted to put some funny pictures of Ty up...I guess they wouldn't be funny if he suffocates himself, but he has decided that he likes to fall asleep wrapped up as a mummy in his blanket. I'm not sure what made him think that this would be fun but I had to roll him over like 4 times to get him unwrapped after I took the pictures. This was like the third time in a week that he was totally wrapped up in his blanket and sound asleep. I swear when I'm not trying out some wacked out form of child behavior modification, he just does it all on his own. Hopefully, he won't be doing it anymore. He has also turned into a drooling machine...I haven't got a picture yet, but when I go to check on him before I go to bed his is practically swimming in a pool of drool. It is nasty, but funny. His pillow is soaked and sometimes it looks like he's peed the bed. Anyway, hopefully I can get a picture of that soon and I will post it.

LAKE COEUR D'ALENE

Here are some pictures of a little trip we took to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho to go to the lake. The kids had a real fun time. We went with the Fischers who are friends of ours here in Spokane. Bailee and Ty had so much fun in the sand and water. It was a beautiful day and the water was great. It is only about 25 minutes from our home and we've been a few times but I think this is the first time we have taken the camera. There is a huge sandy beach and right behind the beach is a huge park with a massive playground that the kids love to play on. Most of the beaches around the lake are private and there are some MASSIVE houses right on the lake with their own private docks. It is really nice. Almost like a Park City, but on a lake, so I guess more like Lake Tahoe. But either way it is sweet.
The beach that we go to is one of the only public beaches and it is right next to The Coeur D'Alene which is a huge resort with a real nice hotel, boat rides, plane rides and all sorts of other cool things. They are probably most famous for one of their golf course holes. It is a par 3 with a floating green. You have to be taken out by boat to putt. I have never played there but I hope to someday. The green fees are like $300 for 18 holes so just a bit out of our price range. Anyway, enjoy the pictures we are going to try and go again this week since next Monday I start school. Only 1 more year to go!!! Graduation is May 10th but I'm not eager to finish.Bailee the supermodel...And here we have Bailee sporting a $4.99 one-piece from Old Navy, the cooler is from Target and can hold all kinds of Drinks and ice...I think I will send this to Sports Illustrated.

SWIMMING NIGHT

Well here are some pictures of Bailee and Ty from Family night. We have some neighbors that let us go to their pool and the kids had a blast. Ty just swims around in his life jacket and just loves it. He will just kick around the pool for hours. He also had never gone off of the diving board by himself before but he just got out of the pool and walked over to it and jumped off without any coaxing. He loved it. After that there was not stopping him. He went from the pool to the ladder to the diving board over and over and over for like an hour. Later he whipped out the goggles and would swim with his head in the water and thought it was so fun.

Bailee is an excellent swimmer. She can do a front flip off the diving board and can swim all by herself. He is getting really good at swimming on her back and can keep her head up out of the water to get some air after swimming for a bit. Anyway, it was a fun time. We are heading back to Spokane after a fun summer in Utah so our next post will be from home!!!!
